About

Me with a Picaron
My name is Elizabeth, and I am a recent college graduate. Believe it or not, my love for food started with trout ice cream. Many years ago, I was flipping through the television channels and came across two men who seemed to be in a battle over food. I was shocked to discover that the man called the “challenger” was putting trout in the ice cream machine.
Though I was mildly disgusted by the thought of this dessert, my eyes were glued to the screen, and I could not bring myself to change the channel. From then on, I regularly watched Iron Chef and started viewing numerous other shows on the Food Network. I eventually tried cooking for myself, first copying recipes I had seen Giada De Laurentiis and Rachel Ray prepare, and later giving these recipes my own twist. I will say upfront that I am an amateur- I have gained all of my knowledge of food from television, the newspaper, internet, and traveling. My one claim to you is that I am a food follower. I hope that if you follow me, you will become one too!
What a wonderful to learn about food! Thank you for visiting my blog and “liking” my heart pizza!

Trout ice cream sounds disgusting, but have you heard of Heston Blumenthal? He’s a celebrity chef popular in the UK, who is famed for making ice cream out of nearly everything. His most famous is ‘bacon and scrambled eggs’ ice cream!
Great blog you’ve got here. And thank you for liking my blog post, Food Diaries — The rise and fall of my first cheese soufflé. I really appreciate it!
I have heard of him, though I can’t say I really want to try his bacon and scrambled eggs flavor!
